Tension arrangements.-To tension the chain drives of, for example, the magneto or other auxiliary shaft of an internal - combustion engine, or of a pump, or a change-speed gear, one of the rotating shafts A is mounted eccentrically in a sleeve B which is itself enclosed eccentrically in a second sleeve C mounted in a fixed part of the frame. The sleeves may be fixed in position by any suitable means, and may be adjusted relatively so as to move the shaft A in a plane.
