Abstract

1,171,940. Sleeve connectors. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE MATERIEL ELECTRIQUE. 29 Dec., 1966 [29 Dec., 1965], No. 58210/66. Heading H2E. An electrical connector for making electrical connection with a wire or cable comprises a part 1 adapted to lie along the wire &c., and provided over at least a part or parts of the length of its edges with beading 4, 5, and a ferrule or sleeve 8 (Fig. 2) which, when crimped about the part 1 and the wire &c., locks around the beading 4, 5 by its free ends 8a, 8b. A branch conductor is connected to an angled part 6 of the connector. In crimping the ferrule or sleeve 8 around the part 1 and the wire etc., the beading 4, 5 and the cable is deformed and thereby good electrical and mechanical contact between the parts is ensured.
