Abstract

1,170,075. Steam generator furnace. L. & C. STEINMULLER G.m.b.H. 7 Nov., 1966, No. 49739/66. Heading F4B. The outer walls of a tubulous steam generator furnace are formed by vertical tubes walls extending substantially the full height of the furnace, a combustion chamber or chambers being formed adjacent the vertical walls by structures 5, 15 supported by water tubes 4, 14 from the roof of the furnace. A baffle 21 directs the gas flow above the combustion chambers, and the dividing walls of the combustion chambers are braced by cross tubes 7, 17 forming a slag screen. The tops of the combustion chambers may be inclined towards the centre of the furnace or may be flat. The combustion chambers may be at either side of a rectangular furnace, or an annular combustion chamber may be formed in a cylindrical furnace.
