Abstract

1,167,923. Cleaning tanks. J. G. HAMILTON. 20 March, 1968 [29 Dec., 1966], No. 58232/66. Heading A4F. [Also in Division B2] Spray devices for cleaning vessels comprise a hollow rotatable shaft 15 with means for coupling to a separate drive unit and carrying a rotatable head 22 incorporating a plurality of radially directed passages each of which communicates with a nozzle 24 which is also capable of rotation about an axis extending transversely to that of the rotation of the head. Cleaning liquid under pressure may be supplied through the shaft to the head which may comprise hollow radial shafts 23 each having a pinion 29 engaging a stationary gear ring 28. The device may be mounted on a frame or bracket which may support the drive unit and be adapted for movement round the perimeter of the vessel to be cleaned.
