Abstract

1,160,169. Inflatable craft. HANS SCHEIBERT, [trading as DEUTSCHE SCHLAUCHBOOTFABRIK HANS SCHEIBERT]. 19 April, 1967 [26 May, 1966], No. 18103/67. Headings B7A and B7S. In an inflatable life raft having an awning 3 of fabric coated with rubber or plastics secured to the gunwale and extending upwardly to a point, the awning has a suspension fitting 6 securely fixed to the fabric itself. The fitting 6 has a stirrup-shaped portion 7 through which suspension ropes 8 attached to the raft floor may be passed. The awning is supported by struts 5. Two forms of suspension fitting and their fixing to the fabric of the awning are described and illustrated.
