Abstract

1319072 Inflatable boats DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 21 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 24859/70 Heading B7A The hull of an inflatable boat comprises a series of interconnected tubes 1-5 which are shaped, e.g. by gaffering and tapering-to produce the hull shape shown without the use of other shape inducing members. The stern has a rigid transom 6, but according to a modification (not shown) it can be shaped simularly to the bow. The keel tube 5 has a web (5a) across its vertical diameter to cause the tube to spread widthwise. Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown) illustrate alternative ways of forming the keel tube. The boat can be provided with a rubbing strip (11) and spray shield 7.
