Abstract

1,034,624. Boat with inflatable buoyancy tubes. HANS KLEPPER CORPORATION. Feb. 18, 1965 [Feb. 19, 1964; July 2, 1964; July 23, 1964], No. 7012/65. Heading B7A. In a boat consisting of a hull and an inflatable buoyancy tube-supporting the hull, the side walls are part cylindrical in cross-section and fit against the buoyancy tubes on the inboard side and on the top side. The buoyancy tube is attached to the sides of the hull by straps which are coupled by means of C-shaped joint clamps. In other embodiments guide ribs of beading formed on the straps engage in grooves at the longitudinal edges of the hull, or the retaining straps are permanently stuck to the concave peripheral surface of the edges of the hull. In each case engagement is effected after the buoyancy tube has been slightly inflated. Final locking is done by subsequently pumping up hard.
