A tin comprises a body 12 having a circular opening with an upstanding wall, and a lid (11 ) having a skirt (22) which fits on said wall, the skirt (22) having indentations 14 which seat on said wall to act as fulcra about which the lid (11) can be rocked open by pressure being applied at depression (16 or) 26 which, when the lid is rocked open, acts as a stop contacting the rim 18 of the wall to prevent the body 12 sliding away from the lid (11). To facilitate stacking, a ridge 19 on the lid (11) is designed to fit into a circular ridge (25) on the underside of the body 12 of a similar container.
