Abstract

1,079,770. Boxes &c. COSMIC CRAYON CO. Ltd. Nov. 26, 1965 [Nov. 26, 1964], No. 48063/64. Heading B8P. A container having a hinged or separate lid is provided with a projection (10), Figs. 1, forming a fulcrum on the rim of the container body, so that, when downward pressure is applied to the lid on one side of the fulcrum, the lid is raised on the other side. The side wall of the container has an outward projection (9) over which an inward bead on the rim of the lid engages when the lid is closed. Two portions of an inward bead (8) on the body rim may be displaced to form hinges. Where the container is of rectangular cross-section, fulcrum points may be provided on each side at the same or different distances from the rear edge. The container may be of metal or non- metal.
