Abstract

1,241,728. Caps for bottles &c. R. HAGG. BOM. 13 May, 1969 [16 May, 1968], No. 24232/69. Heading B8T. A plastics container closure 3 has a rim 4 with a resilient flap 5 which has a folding section 6. The flap 5 is pressed upwards under the container rim 2 forcing the rim outwards, the closure 3 being held in position under the action of the resulting stresses. A projection or recess may be provided in the lower side of the container rim 2 for engagement with the closure flap 5, Fig. 2b (not shown), which may be apertured (at 11) or be provided with a bead for gripping.
