Abstract

The truncated conical shaped container (A) has a peripheral groove (4) on its inner surface, above which is a conical section (3) with a greater included angle, so forming a ramp leading to the groove. The lid has a reduced diameter section (7, 8) forming a ridge (9) around the bottom edge of the lid (B). When the lid is pushed into the container the ridge passes over the ramp (3) and clicks into the groove. When the lids are stacked inside each other the ledge (7) supports the bottom of the lid above, preventing jamming. When the containers are stacked, the outside of the groove (4a) is supported by the curved top lip of the container below (1), preventing jamming.
