Abstract

1,157,658. Copper alloys. IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) Ltd. Oct. 3, 1967 [Oct.14, 1966], No.46067/66. Heading C7A. Heat exchange elements, e.g. for a motor car radiator, are made of an alloy consisting, by weight, of Sn 0À02 - 0À5% Cu and impurities - balance. Impurities may be P and 0À1% Zn. Strip suitable for fabrication into heat exchange elements may be made by pre-heating slab ingot at 800‹C., hot rolling, cold-rolling twice and annealing at 500‹ C., and finally cold-rolling to a thickness of 0À001 - 0À01 inch.
