Abstract
1,157,467. Phase changing circuits. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 12 Oct., 1966 [20 Oct., 1965], No. 45555/66. Heading H2F. A phase changing system comprises two networks having a different number of phases connected to the A.C. side of a converter Be and a capacitor connected to the D.C. side of the capacitor. The connections between the networks and the converter may include chokes and filters L 1 , S 1 , L 2 , S 2 for suppressing harmonics. A suitable converter for use in the system, Fig. 1 (not shown) comprises a three-phase bridge with a storage capacitor across the D.C. side and reverse diodes across the controlled rectifiers. The converter may supply active as well as reactive power.
