1,101,310. Converting. LICENTA PATENT VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. 20 Dec., 1966 [20 Dec., 1965], No. 57048/66. Heading H2F. A polyphase bridge of controlled semiconductor rectifiers interconnecting D.C. and A.C. networks, is characterized in that separate capacitors 14-16 are between each phase of the A.C. network and a common capacitor 9, connected to a point on the bridge. In this way the inductances 11-13 of the individual phases are separately compensated and commutation is facilitated; moreover, the capacitors improve the power factor, and the usual transformers may be omitted. An inductance 7 is preferably included in the D.C. supply circuit.
