Abstract

999,470. Rectifying. BROWN, BOVERI & CO. Ltd. Oct. 18, 1962 [Oct. 20, 1961], No. 39514/62. Heading H2F. A polyphase rectifying arrangement is controlled by saturable inductors each of which controls current through two or more rectifiers connected to different phases, and the current pulses in each inductor are separated by distinct intervals of time during which the D.C. bias windings premagnetize the inductor cores. The Figure shows the invention applied to a sixphase star arrangement; a double three-phase arrangement with interphase transformer is also disclosed (Fig. 4, not shown).
