Abstract

1,156,869. Dump scrapers. GUSTAV SCHADE MASCHINENFABRIK. 28 May, 1968 [12 Feb., 1968], No. 25503/68. Heading B8E. A dump 2 of material is discharged into two endless belts 7 and 7<SP>1</SP> by means of two endless scraper conveyers 10 and 10<SP>1</SP> carried pivotally at 9 and 9<SP>1</SP> by frame 1, which frame runs in parallel manner along the length of the dump on rails 4. Conveyer 10<SP>1</SP> feeds to conveyer 7<SP>1</SP> and conveyer 10 feeds to conveyer 7. Alternatively conveyer 10 may feed to conveyer 10<SP>1</SP> which feeds to a single discharge conveyer 7<SP>1</SP>. The conveyers 10 and 10<SP>1</SP> are connected at 15<SP>1</SP> by a roller and rolling-surface connection and are supported at 19 so that, as the conveyers fall due to successive layers of material being scraped from the dump 2, they overlap and finally finish in the lower position shown in Fig. 1. The conveyer 10 may be displaced sideways on its pivot 9 so as to lie laterally of conveyer 10<SP>1</SP> to feed away the part of the dump which then remains.
