Abstract

1,234,105. Mixing solids. GUSTAV SCHADE MASCHINENFABRIK. 28 May, 1968 [12 Feb., 1968], No. 25505/68. Heading B1C. [Also in Division B8] A method of mixing solids deposited in layers a-g, see Fig. 1, comprises scraping the layers with scraping elements 5 supported on a boom 5 to form the required mixture, the scraping elements being moved along the length of the dump with the boom at a constant height. The mixture may be removed by means of a conveyor belt 9. In a modification, see Fig. 3, the solids are deposited so as to form a ring-shaped dump 10 and the solids are scraped off by means of a scraper device which swivels about central pillar 10a and which has pivotally-connected boom sections 12, 13. The solids are conveyed to the dump by means of conveyor belts 21, 22, 24 and removed as a mixture by means of conveyor belts 15, 17. Conveyor belt 22 is arranged on a bridge structure 23 capable of being swivelled about pillar 10a.
