Abstract

1,149,540. Delivering sheets. RICOH K.K. 15 Aug., 1967 [27 Jan., 1967], No. 44692/67. Divided out of 1,148,087. Heading B6H. [Also in Division G2] In a modification of the sheet-separating mechanism of the parent Specification 1,148,087, the disc plate 4, rotating on shaft 3, has peripheral notches 5 and abutment surfaces 6. The disc can rotate with the shaft by means of a spring-urged member 13 in a radial slot 12, which engages frictionally on the shaft. A twoarmed lever 8, pivoted at 7, locks against abutment 6 until pivoted out of engagement therewith when the copy sheet Sa enters notch 5 and strikes arm 8a of the lever, as in the parent Specification. As disc 4 now rotates (counterclockwise), one of a pair of lugs 4a projecting from the face of the disc engages against lever 8 (Fig. 2, not shown), pivoting it counterclockwise back into the initial position of Fig. 1.
