1,140,637. Electrical bushing; lead through insulators. CARL - ZEISS - STIFTUNG, [trading as JENAER GLASWERK SCHOTT & GEN.]. 16 Nov., 1967 [26 Nov., 1966], No. 52153/67. Headings H2C and H2E. An electrical bushing for carrying electrical connections through a container wall, e.g. of a nuclear reactor, comprises a vacuum tight metal pipe 1, welded of fixed by a flange to the wall and sealed by end bushing members 3 with terminals 4, 5 electrically connected inside the pipe. The sealed pipe is evacuated through the union 6 to which a pressure gauge may be connected. A Geiger counter 7 with lead 9 may also be connected.
