Abstract

1,133,366. Centrifugal pumps. ALLWEILER A.G. Aug.26, 1966 [Aug. 31, 1965], No.38460/66. Heading F1C. [Also in Divisions F2 and H2] In order to increase wear resistance of bearings of a centrifugal pump for heating systems, the bearing parts 11, 12, 13 are all of a hard antifriction material, e.g. sintered alpha-aluminium oxide, having the same composition and the same hardness. Moreover, the, bearing parts 13 are each mounted via an annular element 15 which permits the bearing part 13 to have universal joint type displacement over a few degrees or even minutes. The element 15 has line contact with the pump casing and/or the bearing part 13, and is sufficiently elastic to permit the universal joint type displacement without permitting purely radial displacement.
