Roofs; reinforcedconcrete roofs.- Roofs which consist of concrete slabs or concrete cast in situ are provided with external purlins, the rafters being inside or outside. Fig. 1 shows a roof cast in situ. Fig. 2 shows precast slabs a carried by steel purlins b which are covered with concrete h, and in a similar construction, the slabs a are cast in situ. The rafters c, Fig. 1, may be replaced by inside steel trusses, and, in the form shown in Fig. 5, reinforced-concrete props f connect the purlins b with beams e.
