Abstract

115,388. Remnant, A. C. Dec. 19, 1917. Roof gutters; roofs; reinforced-concrete roofs; walls; ceilings.-A combined eaves course a and gutter b is cast in situ and serves also as a bonding-course and roof abutment f. The gutter portion is provided with a lining e of glazed stoneware, cement, asphalt, lead, &c. and a covering i of waterproof material, such as cement or asphalt, which also forms a tilting fillet i<2> for the roof covering. A sinking c is formed underneath the gutter. Metal reinforcements such as t may be added. The roof may be timber-framed, or cast in situ, or formed of hollow blocks and concrete. The ceiling o may be cast in one wtih the eaves course and gutter, and the reinforcements q may be bent up into the roof and be secured to the roof reinforcements. The roof may be flat with the waterproof covering i continued over it. The gutter is made with internal and external angles, outlets, stopped ends, and other rain-water connexions as desired.
