Abstract

1,125,522. Mobile jib-cranes. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU S. M. KIROW, VEB. 28 Feb., 1966, No. 8792/66. Heading B8B. A strut 1, hinged to the jib 2 of a railway crane, supports part of the weight of the jib and tends to equalize the load on the axles of the supporting wagon. The strut houses a compression spring which urges a buffer downwards into sliding engagement with the wagon. In an alternative construction the strut may be pivoted to the wagon.
