Abstract

1,112,684. Reservoir pens. R. W. HARE Ltd. 6 July, 1966 [13 May, 1965], No. 20212/65. Heading B6P. An ink receptacle 1 consisting of an 0À2 inch diameter tube 2 of plastics material has one end 3 reduced to engage a cylindrical writing tip 4 of fused silica or other suitable ceramic material. The tip 4 is provided with a plurality of capillary bores 5 of a diameter of about 0À01 inch, which supply ink to the rounded writing end 6 of the tip 4. The ink receptacle 1 and parts 4a and 4b of the writing tip may be encased in a moulded casing or barrel (7, Fig. 3). Alternatively, the receptacle 1 may itself constitute the body of the pen, no external casing then being provided. The instrument may be used as an eyebrow pencil.
