[Also in Division E2] A coupling for the shifting jacks on the goaf side of a longwall conveyer comprises a short guide rail 1, Fig. 1, of K-shaped cross-section and a carriage-like member 8 with lugs 7 engageable in the upper and lower grooves of the K shape and holding a T-shaped member 10, Fig. 2, projecting through aperture 14 and coupled at 15 to the jack and having the arms 9 of the T engaged in the side groove of the K section. A bolt 18 holds the carriage 8 against longitudinal movement.
