Abstract

1,147,920. Conveyers for mines. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. 18 March, 1968 [6 Oct., 1967], No. 12683/68. Heading B8A. A frame assembly 3 is attachable to a channel 2 of a two-chain scraper conveyer in either of two positions, wherein in one position, Fig. 1, the upper runs of chains 6 pass rectilinearly between the conveyer and a main drive drum 5 and in the second position, at the other end of the conveyer, Fig. 2, the lower runs of the chains pass rectilinearly between the conveyer and an auxiliary drive drum 5. Thus, in each case the chain runs which are subjected to tension by the drive run rectilinearly. To provide for the alternative attachment, the frame has abutment faces 9, 10, extending at an obtuse angle to each other. In the Fig. 1 position, a wedge-shaped gap 15 formed between the frame face 9 and the end face 13 of the channel 2 is filled by one or more pieces 17, the frame and the channel being connected by bolts 16. In Fig. 2, a gap 19, corresponding to the gap 15 is filled by one or more pieces 20.
