A box having a tray-like body over which a slightly larger similarly-shaped flanged lid is pushed, has interengaging projections and recesses on the two parts, holding the lid on the body, released by pushing inwards the walls of the body when the lid is to be removed. The body is folded-up from a blank so as to have end walls 13 with flaps 15 glued &c. to the outside of side walls 11. Each flap 15 is of L-shape, with a corner 17 removed. The removed corners 17 of the flaps thus combine with the side walls 11 to form recesses 22. The remaining end tongues 18 of the flaps 15 form projections. The box lid is similarly constructed from a slightly larger blank, with the flaps (15), Fig. 3 (not shown), glue &c. to the insides, instead of to the outsides, of the side walls (11). When the lid is pushed on to the body, the projections and the recesses interlock, holding the lid on the body. The interlock is released by pushing inwardly the side walls of the box body. As shown, the projecting end tongues 18, Fig. 2, are corrugated. Alternatively, the end tongues 18 may be provided with upstanding tabs (26), Fig. 4 (not shown), bent about axes perpendicular to the bottom and top of the box, respectively, or upstanding tabs (28, 29), Figs. 5, 6 (not shown), bent about axes parallel to the box bottom and top. Finger holes (24), Fig. 3 (not shown), may be provided along the bottom edges of the lid side walls. The box body and lid are each folded-up from a scored blank having a rectangular bottom (or top) panel (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), end-forming panels (13) with L-shaped flaps (15) along their two side edges, and side-forming panels (11).
