Abstract
960,713. Boxes. ROBERT SKARSTEDT A.B. May 9, 1961, No. 16813/61. Heading B8P. A tray is formed from a carton blank as shown in Fig. 2, and made, e.g. of corrugated cardboard by erecting the side walls 3 and holding them in position by means of doubledover flaps 7 bearing tongues 8 engaging in slots 9. Side walls 2 having extensions 10 are then erected and portions 14, 16 of the extensions 10 are folded about the line H and around the upstanding portions 3a of side walls 3. Portions 12, 13 are folded to form triangular corner posts, and portions 16 are laid flat against the side walls 2 and are held there by doubled-over flaps 4 having tongues 5 engaging in slots 6. A lid (Fig. 1, not shown) supported by the corner posts having a depending rim may completely close the box, or it may terminate above the side walls to provide ventilation gaps.
