Abstract
1,105,375. Guides for overhead cranes- SOC. ANON. VERLINDE. 28 Jan., 1966 [28 Jan. 1965], No. 3890/66. Heading B8B. [Also in Division B7] A runway for an overhead crane comprises two I-section beams which are joined together by plates 10 and have holes 8 in their webs 7. The runway is supported at its ends by wheeled bogies. A crab (18), Fig. 1 (not shown), runs on the lower flanges of the runway. Fig. 6 (not shown), illustrates an embodiment in which two runways (21) are supported on a common bogie (2). Each runway comprises two I- section beams connected by single longitudinal plates (23) on their upper flanges and a plurality of plates (10) on their lower flanges. A crab runs on rails (24) which support end stops (25).
