Abstract

1,101,800. Caps for bottles &c. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. 27 Sept., 1966 [28 Oct., 1965], No. 45725/65. Heading B8T. An integral plastics bottle &c., cap 4 and pouring spout 2 connected by a hinge 3 has on the spout a lip 13 for engagement by a finger nail &c., to facilitate pivoting it to the open position shown, when a rib 10 on the spout abuts the edge 11 of the spout aperture 5. The spout 2 extends through the side of a frustoconical bottle cap 4 having a recess 14 on its top to allow easy access to the operating lip 13, and a rib 7 inside the cap is snapped-over a shoulder 8 which extends round the mouth of a plastics bottle 6.
