Abstract

1276756 Container closure E J TOWNS 19 May 1970 [4 Dec 1969] 24168/70 Heading B8T A flexible container 10 has a neck 11 and a flexible inwardly directed flange 12 defining an opening 13. A cap 17 has a bead 19 adapted to engage a groove 14 in the container neck, the lower edge of the cap skirt 20 engages a shoulder 16 adjacent the neck of the container. The cap is also provided with an inner tubular stopper 25 which seals against the flange 12. A dispensing opening 26 is provided in the top wall of the cap. The dispensing opening is sealed by a plug 27 attached to a flap 28 hinged to the cap at 29. In an alternative embodiment an upwardly directed tubular flange (12<SP>1</SP>a), Fig. 8 (not shown), is attached to the flange 12.
