Abstract

1,093,590. Burning refuse. VON ROLL A.G. July 8, 1965 [July 8, 1964], No. 29083/64. Heading F4B. Refuse is burnt with oxygen enriched air in a refractory trough 3a with a lip 3b over which molten slag flows. An oil burner 22 starts the combustion process and the combustion air is preheated in the downpass of a waste heat boiler before mixing it with oxygen from a source 4. The oxygen enriched air is delivered under pressure from mozzles 6. The trough may be mounted to rock about its longitudinal axis.
