Abstract

109,281. Small, H. M. Feb 20, 1917. Spray carburettors.-The outlet H from the suction nozzle through which the fuel passes before atomization takes place is in the form of an unobstructed perforation in a fixed plate P of not more than 4/100 in. thickness. The faces of the plate are free from projections, recesses, or corrugations in proximity to the orifice, and no streamdirecting means are provided. Where a compound nozzle is employed comprising two or more nested nozzles of the kind described above, the distance between the plates of the nozzles is approximately equal to the diameter of the outlet H.
