Air-pressure sprayers; nozzles for producing whirling and like sprays.-In a device for producing a whirling spray. liquid supplied through the passage b emerges from the valve-controlled nozzle a and meets a current of air or gas which has been forced into the chamber c through the tangential pipe d. The mixed spray and gas passes through the orifice e in the cap f, which can be adjusted to or from the nozzle. An iris diaphragm h is also provided. Applications mentioned are humidifying air, damping flour or grain, and spraying liquid fuel for internalcombustion engines.
