The axes of slots 6 in a nozzle 12 are inclined in the direction of the air-flow in the induction passage so that the direction of the flow of primary mixture there through has a component in the direction of the flow in the induction passage 6. Primary air enters at 2 and the fuel-flow is controlled by needle 11.
