Abstract

1,091,110. Coated sheet material. "WIDEMEX N.V". Aug. 31, 1966 [Sept. 1, 1965], No. 38940/66. Heading B2E. [Also in Division Dl] An ironing pad 2 is made of glass textile tissue 3 covered with polytetrafluoroethane 4 and the remainder of the cover is formed of cotton cloth 7 covered with a plastics lacquer 8 impregnated with metal particles. The two parts are seamed together at 6 and a cotton layer 9 is provided below the pad 2 and a sponge plastics layer is provided 'below the cloth 7. In a second embodiment additional layers of glass fibre and asbestos paper may be provided under the pad 2. An aluminium sheet can be used under the pad 2 in such a way as to provide an air space between the aluminium and the ironing board.
