In a process for dry mounting photographs, maps &c. by heat and pressure using a dry mounting tissue consisting of tissue paper impregnated with shellac an organopolysiloxane film is interposed between the object to be mounted and the pressing means. The film is coated on to a substrate such as paper or a textile fabric.
