769,449. Motor vehicle roof trim. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd. July 11, 1955 [July 24, 1954], No. 21673/54. Class 20(4) A head lining 10 for vehicles comprises one or more sheets 11 of thermosetting or thermoplastic resinous material, portions of the material being bonded together by the application of heat to provide a series of transversely disposed pockets to receive listing rods 12. As shown a number of strips 11 of a textile base coated with polyvinyl chloride are welded at 13, 14, in a high frequency welding press to provide the pockets for receiving rods 12. The edges of the lining may be held in position by piping through which a securing cord passes, the piping being of similar material to the sheets 11 and having a projecting edge portion which is welded to the lining 10.
