Abstract

1,089,665. Writing appliances. DAINIHONBUNGU KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Dec. 23, 1964 [March 12, 1964], No. 52289/64. Heading B6P. [Also in Divisions B5 and D1] The writing point 21 of a reservoir pen is formed of a bundle of fibres bonded with a synthetic resin so that the fibres are connected together at points of contact leaving channels for the ink, the fibres being randomly intertwined but arranged to extend generally along the axis of the point. The fibres are preferably synthetic fibres, e.g. fibres of a polymer or copolymer of acrylonitrile or polyethyleneterephthalate. The point 21 is held in a part 22 of a barrel 24 containing an ink reservoir 25 made of cotton or felt. An air hole 27 is provided adjacent to the point. Various shapes of tip for the point are illustrated.
