Abstract

1,068,489. Marking instruments. DAI NIHON BUNGU KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Dec. 22, 1965 [Feb. 23, 1965; March 10, 1965 (2)], No. 54398/65. Heading B6P. The felt-nib of a reservoir marking instrument comprises a core of hard fibres produced by arranging the fibres longitudinally and then applying a film of thermosetting or thermoplastic resin to them. The core extends into the casing of the instrument to contact an inkabsorbing body (2, Fig. 1) and is provided with a groove 6 which extends through the core from the inner end over a major part of the length thereof. The groove may be a single groove extending diametrically through the core, or a plurality of radial grooves (Figs. 3 and 4). The surface of the core adjacent the writing point may be provided with a plurality of surface grooves 7 and/or a plurality of surface holes (8, Figs. 8 and 9).
