Abstract
1,088,350. Tractors. SELENE S.A.S. Sept. 14, 1966 [Sept. 24, 1965], No. 41090/66. Headings B7D and B7H. The normal direction of drive of a tractor is reversed by rotating the differential gear-box 3 about the axis of the differential input through 180 degrees, interposing between the differential gear-box and the main gear-box 4 a frame 8 having similar flanges 7, 9 suitably offset to mate with the flanges 3a, 4a on the gear-boxes 3, 4 and coupling the differential input shaft to the gear-box output by means of a sleeve compensating for the increased length of the tractor. A pinion integral with the sleeve is connected through a gear train and coupling members controlled by a lever L to a power take-off shaft 18 mounted in a box S attached to one side of the frame 8. As shown the power take-off shaft 18 is connected by a shaft 19 to differential gearing 20 incorporated in a driven axle substituted for the normal front axle of the tractor.
