Abstract

1,082,537. Tractor load-handling attachments. A. HAUPTMANN. Nov. 6, 1964 [Nov. 19, 1963], No. 45365/64. Heading B8H. [Also in Division E1] A boom 1, pivoted at 3 to the top-link connection of a tractor, is provided with depending arms 4 pivoted at 6 to brackets 5 supporting levers 7, 8. The levers 8 are provided with apertures 9 for pivot pins connecting the levers to the tractor lift links 10. Hydraulic rams 11 are pivoted between the inner end of the boom and the upper end of the levers 7. The levers 7, 8 are hingedly connected at 13 whereby they may be secured in different relative angular positions. The members 4, 5, 7, 10 may be provided with additional apertures corresponding to the apertures 9, whereby the range of movement of the boom may be varied. In Fig. 4 (not shown), the arrangement is such that in the lowered position of the boom, the outer end is below ground level. The boom is off stressed skin construction and is provided with a forked outer end provided with bearings 2 for a bucket, fork or pusher blade.
