Abstract

911,944. Shovelling machines. KOEHRING CO. Sept. 19, 1961 [Nov. 30, 1960], No. 33517/61. Class 68 (1). To maintain in a scoop-loading attachment the inclination of a scoop 25 substantially constant to a datum plane as a two-part boom structure 26, 27 on which the scoop is pivoted at 38 is moved to horizontally advance or withdraw the scoop, there is provided between the inner section 27 of the boom and the scoop 25 a linkage comprising a jack 50, a bell-crank 45, and a link 54. The jack 50, which is locked and therefore of a fixed length during the horizontal or withdrawal of the scoop, is pivoted at 51 and 52 to an extension of the inner boom section and to the bell-crank 45 respectively. The bell-crank 45 is pivoted at 48 on the outer boom section and the links 54 are pivoted at 56 and 52 on the bell-crank and scoop respectively. Specification 866,759 is referred to.
