Abstract

980,137. Shovelling machines. PRIESTMAN BROS. Ltd. Aug. 26, 1963 [Aug. 28, 1962], No. 33005/62. Heading E1F. In a shovel excavator of the type in which a bucket-carrying arm is pivotally mounted at the outer end of a vertically swingable, turntable-supported boom, the boom consists of two parts 4, 9 which can be so detachably secured together by bolts 36, 37, 38 or the like that the parts can be in alignment or the outer part 9 can be offset to either side as required of the inner part. The parts may also be constructed in conformity with the invention of the referred to Specification 980,138 whilst the bucket can be attached to the arm in conformity with the invention of the referred to Specification 966,719.
