Abstract

1,072,469. Window frames; glazing. T. FICKENSCHER. July 27, 1965, No. 32040/65. Headings E1J and E1R. A window comprises a main frame 1 and a 'glazing frame 2, each of box section and of synthetic plastics material, with flat surfaces and formed with a projecting extension 4' and 4 respectively, acting as an abutment or stop, one longitudinal side thereof being co-planar with an adjacent side of a box-section. The glazing has U-shaped mounting strips 14 of similar material having internal projections 15 at the arm ends of the U-clipped on riders 16 where shown on the frame 2 having external projections 17 engaging behind them. The engaging side of the frame 1 has an elastic sealing section 9 to cooperate with the abutment 4 and the engaging side of the frame 2 has a sealing section 10 as shown, their total height being smaller than the distance between the frames 1, 2, and the frame 1 may have a sealing section 12 on the said side thereof to act as an abutment for the section 10. Each sealing section has an edge lip 13 for mounting received in a frame section.
