Abstract

1375282 Frame joints HEINRICH BERTRAMS AG 10 Feb 1972 [16 Feb 1971] 6360/72 Heading E1J A mitred joint between door frame members 1, 2 is formed by a plate 4 on one member 2 having claws 5 receivable in apertures 7 in a second plate 6 secured to the other frame member 1, the outer end of the second plate being bent over 8, 16 such that, when assembled, the claw 5 bears against the plate 6 and the bent edge 16 bears on the plate 4. The frame members 1, 2 may be of channel section with the flanges carrying plates 12, 14 one of which mounts a nose 15 engageable in a complemental slot 13 in the other. One of the plates 12, 14 may be elastic. Alternatively, the sides of one frame member may have slotted members for bolting to inwardly turned flanges 9 on the other frame member.
