Abstract

531,764. Panelling. DONALD, J. L. July 28, 1939, No. 21932. [Class 20 (iv)] A joint assembly for wall boards or the like comprises a substantially channel-shaped member 8 with resilient side walls and a flat back, adapted to be secured to the framing members 10 between the edges of boards 12 but separated therefrom, and a cover-strip 13 having a rail or bead means 14 for non-yieldingly engaging between the sides of the channel member which have inwardly projecting portions 11. These portions may be continuous or intermittent and the outer edges of the sides of the channel are level with the outer surfaces of the boards. The cover-strip may be of metal or of mouldable plastic material.
