Abstract

940,083. Wall linings. ALUMINIUM A.G. MENZIKEN. March 3, 1961 [March 4, 1960], No. 7876/61. Heading EIV. A wall lining comprises in comination, two lining panels 1 each having, on one face, integral rib projections 7 which are inset from and parallel to opposite panel edges respectively, and a U- or E- section connector channel 3 arranged to clamp the two panels with edges adjoining by interlocking engagement of the channel walls over the rib projections 7 provided respectively along said adjoining edges. The channel has resilient lipped side walls and a flat base and may be mounted against the wall 10 to be lined as shown, or may be applied over the outside of the lining panels 1 in an arrangement when these are mounted with their flat surfaces against the wall 10, Fig. 2 (not shown). The rib projections 7 are undercut to co-operate with the lips on the edges of the channel side walls. A thickened offset side portion 8 of the panel overlaps the adjoining panel and carries a packing insert 9.
