Tread bands.-A detachable anti-slipping band comprises side-wires 10 and spaced cross-wires 12 each formed of two parts looped together at 17, then twisted and hooked at 16 to eyes 13 on the side-wires. The latter may each be in one piece or in jointed sections, the meeting ends being connected by snap-hooks 14.
