Tread bands.-A non-skid device for twin tyres comprises spaced transverse bars 1 adapted to rest normally at right-angles across the tyre peripheries and joined together by flexible connexions adapted to lie in the central groove of the tyre so that the bars are free to move in all directions. The flexible connexions consist of chains attached to eye-plates 2 integral with or rigidly secured to the undersides of the bars.
